“4 years ago today, I was standing in a room full of people at my first MSOPI event at Progressive Property. I had no experience in the property industry and only owned my house which I lived in. It opened my eyes to what was available in life, and how to achieve it. I was always under the assumption that you needed massive capital to become a property investor, but how wrong was I??!!

It’s all about leverage!!

After a couple of courses I set out into the property world. We are currently converting a care home into 9 luxury apartments. The build will be finished in December. On top of that I’m just about to complete on my next commercial property which I’m looking to convert into 10 flats, and build 3 houses on the plot. 

Once both builds are finished, my portfolio will consist of 32 properties with a value of over £10,000,000.

I’ve bought my dream car, my dream house, travelled the world and I’m helping to provide a beautiful life for my family. 

I’m not bragging but instead want to motivate anyone who feels stuck in what they’re doing as I was at the time. I didn’t have a clue what I was doing but I took the time to learn, network, persevere, and work my ass off to achieve better goals and a better life. 

I would still be in the same job, earning the same salary and in the same frame of mind which ultimately made me unhappy.

In the 5.5 years since our first event at progressive we have:

Spent £8,929,000 on property purchases

And £2,582,906 on renovations 

Raised over £5 million in private investor finance to purchase and renovate those properties (as we started with £0 in the bank) 

And created a portfolio of fabulous holiday homes worth over £18 million

With net equity of £7,294,172

How did we do it? 

 1. Got educated

 2. Found the right property

 3. Negotiated the right price no

 4. Followed the right strategy

We chose a model, we niched our model, we made it our own!

We then rinsed and repeated.

This coming year we are continuing with that model as we’re about to start renovations on The Burgoyne Hotel, and we’re already a significant way through with The Secret Garden renovations. And with a new JV purchase due to complete in Q1, we are set to follow the same trajectory of success! 

In 2023 we were also very honoured to become official partners of Marriott International Hotels, and to be selected by Tatler Magazine as one of their few hand picked Luxury Travel brands.

And why am I telling you all of this? Because this is exactly what I would like to see if we were starting out now. That it works, and that it’s possible for you, even if you have £0 in the bank and no experience. 

I was a private investigator before progressive. My husband had been a postman for 23 years and then drove a tipper truck.

"When I came to the UK in 2014 I had only a suitcase, old laptop and £500 in my pocket. I decided I wanted to be a different person. Didn't know what I wanted to do or who I wanted to be. Only thing I knew was how to get a job.

Few months later, I lost the job, being behind on rent and bills and fought with a deep depression of my partner Dorota. 

In 2018 I discovered Progressive Property and attended their events in Peterborough and started to build my own business whilst Dorota was pregnant with our 2nd child.

Currently I have lovely 5 y/o and 2y/o as well as a partner who is very supportive and we are both full time in properties.

I realised that I can work hard on my dreams and not someone else's for minimum wage without being appreciated.

Since the training we have built a decent portfolio of Rent 2 Rent and doubled that portfolio within 3 months of being set a 3 month #doubleyourincomechallenge. 

I currently have 49 R2R rooms and we have bought our first HMO for cash with none of my own money! (Big thank you to my awesome JV partners! :D)

Packaged a number of deals R2Rs, SA, HMO and BTLs, and now focusing more on sourcing and building our own portfolio. 

The journey was not easy, but definitely well worth it!

Never expected myself to be in the place I am now and believe that I can be way further! It was all down to making a decision, implementing knowledge and action to achieve our goals!”
